Job Description

We are seeking an experienced life insurance product marketing professional to develop and deliver the organization’s strategic communication approach across our omni-channel distribution platform. As Sproutt’s Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of an impactful marketing program – empowering agents, customers, sales and business development teams with clear and effective messaging and collateral to drive adoption and success. The position requires a deep understanding of the life insurance industry, sales concepts, distribution ecosystem, and products as well as exceptional leadership and time management skills, and excellent communication – both written and verbal. 



  • Lead, direct and coordinate the development, content, layout and design of marketing material – from inception to execution
  • Collaborate with channel partners, product, sales, and management teams to support the planning, execution and measurement of marketing collateral, campaigns and initiatives
  • Ensure collateral is accurate, relevant, and compliant with regulatory requirements and consistent with company branding and standards
  • Prioritize and manage marketing requests; effectively and collaboratively steer cross-functional resources to meet business objectives 
  • Work with Product teams to inform roadmaps and fully understand product features and benefits
  • Lead go-to-market plans for product launches and orchestrate execution of plans
  • Develop proficiency with marketing related digital tools and analytics software to effectively execute, monitor, and optimize the various programs 
  • Monitor relevant industry trends to develop key market insights that inform product strategy
  • Communicate results, key insights, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders



  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience managing a marketing program 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a life insurance product marketer; familiarity with life insurance sales concepts, and life insurance product marketing 
  • Experience creating new marketing collateral, from writing the copy to working with designers 
  • Resourceful, driven, and highly organized
  • High sense of urgency and capacity to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in an easy to understand way
  • Innovative thinker, creative and resourceful person 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
