Case Management Lead

Kansas City, MO | Full-timeAbout this positionWe're looking for an experienced life insurance case manager to lead our case management team. This player-coach role requires a hands-on approach and ability to introduce and implement new processes and tools - in order to help the company meet its day to day goals as well as to scale its operations.Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead the case management team while making sure we meet the company's goals - on both team and individual level
  • Provide daily coaching, supervision and balancing of workload among team members
  • Manage your own caseload, handle client escalations and vendor issues
  • Regularly report on team performance focusing on insights and initiatives to improve performance
  • Introduce and implement new and improved processes and tools
  • Collaborate and support sales, customer service and customer success efforts to ensure a superior and seamless customer experience
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience; previous management or player-coach experience required
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise and workflow mastery in case management
  • Must feel comfortable working in a technological environment and be able to quickly learn and help implement new tools
  • Capacity to prioritize workload and work in fast-paced environment
  • High sense of urgency and problem-solving state of mind
  • Ability to communicate consistently, precisely and professionally in both verbal and written communication with internal and external customers
  • A teamwork mindset – take ownership of your work AND your team's success, and take initiative
  • Honesty and integrity
